Julep NYE Mystery Box 2012

So I opened my front door after work to find my second new years box wedged between the two doors, yay super awesome fridayness. In this box i got 4 one-step polish remover pads
Two "the best Pedi Creme ever sample packets, which I got a full sized in my last box. I've had the chance to try it and it is a nice cream, it smells lovely, I really enjoy it.
Julep Sicilian Orange Foot Soak... smells nice, there's no directions on this so I'm not 100% sure how to use this. (will edit once I have tried)
even my cat seems to enjoy the boxes.
From left to right; Harley, Annie and Dakota
Chelsea and the mystery glitter that comes in all the mystery boxes. (for swatch see my previous NYE post)

There is also a nail file and an espresso brown mascara that I also got in my other box, the mascara is pretty but I only wear black, but i did try it out and it was a good formulation. Its just too bad its not in black, but I will give it away as a gift.

Swatches - Single Coat
besides the glitter which is a lovely combination of; pink, silver, green, blue, yellow, red and orange glitters, they all seem to be one coaters. Though Harley and Annie look very similar to my Sally Hansen insta-drys.

Overall I feel this was well worth the 19.99.

DIY Gillter Sun Glasses

What you Need
  • Sun Glasses (I got a free pair with my contact lenses I ordered online)
  • Modge Podge
  • Glitter (I got this 6 colour set from the dollar store)
  • A brush to apply (I used an old eyeshadow brush)
Pour a small amount of modge podge into a container, mix in glitter of your choice, I chose to do a Blue and Silver stripe on each arm, you choose what ever colour(s) that make you warm and fuzy inside.

Brush your glitter mixture on in thin layers allowing to dry between coats. (if doing multiple colours I recomend doing one colour at a time)
When finished top with 2-3 coats of just modge podge.

**If you want to change the glitter, or just want to go back **    to boring plain sunglasses just soak them for a few hours and the glitter will just pull off

on a side not, if you DON'T want to remove your glitter... don't leave your sunglasses in water ;D

NYE Julep Surprise box 2012

Mystery box #3

So I just can't help but say yes to mystery boxes....so when I got home to find this waiting I was super excited. Included in my box was 5 polishes, 3 remover wipes, 2 hand brightening creme packet thingys a nail file and Pedi Creme.

Swatches - One Coat for each

Dendrie
a nice light grey colour....not a colour I usually wear but still very nice.

Cindy
By far my most favorite thing from this box! georgous micro-glitter-shimmery deliciousness.

Lauren
Hot Pink - most definitely needs more than one coat.

Eileen
"antique white" looks off white in the bottle but when its on your nail it just looks white. one coater

Mystery Glitter
And this I assume is the "Mystery Glitter" because it came without a name. its a silver, black bronze micro/ slightly bigger glitter. My oppinion is Meh maybe with out the bronze I would like it better.

Overall I feel this was well worth the 19.99.
